Behind the hitting of Edwin BaltrAn, the Lynchburg Hillcats stopped the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 9-1. BaltrAn was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Hillcats. With the win over Wilmington, the Hillcats improved to 80-31.

Alex Ramirez had a big 2-run double for the Hillcats in the bottom of the first inning. With Lynchburg trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Brent Graham, who is tied for 6th in the CAR in strikeouts with 127, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hillcats ahead, 2-1.
