Dash Earn Late Win
The Winston-Salem Dash beat the Carolina Mudcats, 5-4, in 15 innings. Winston-Salem second baseman Francisco Quinto, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 3 times. The Dash improved their record to 49-64 by beating Carolina.

Winston-Salem used the timely hitting of Manny Casanova to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 15th inning to put the Dash on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Sam Simmons, the Winston-Salem manager.
