Keys Lose to Dash in Walk-Off

Winston-Salem shortstop Miguel Becerra had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Frederick Keys, 6-3. The winner in relief was Dave Perez. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 7-5. Winston-Salem currently is in first place in the Southern Division at 67-47.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Becerra hit a screwball from Denny McMurtry for a 3-run home run. The Dash, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Sometimes you get the ball in the right spot and it goes," said Becerra.
