Red Sox 6-3 Winners Over Myrtle Beach

Salem Red Sox starter Omar Montoya pitched a strong game against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium, leading the Red Sox to victory, 6-3. After today's action, Salem sits at 52-62; Myrtle Beach slips to 45-69.
Angelo Mastache had a big 3-run home run for the Red Sox in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Salem leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a cutter from Steve Jackson, who is tied for 7th in the CAR in innings pitched with 132.0, and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Red Sox on top, 6-1.
"Solid performance from our side," said Red Sox manager Arturo Cobian.
