Hillcats Take Tight Tilt, 2-1

Both teams had their chances, but the Lynchburg Hillcats eventually prevailed.
The Lynchburg Hillcats picked up a win at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium, taking down the Potomac Nationals, 2-1. Starting pitcher John Krill was a big reason why. Krill picked up the win for Lynchburg, going 8.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 6-5.
Lynchburg used a timely hit from Ernesto Zetino to get the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Hillcats ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Tough loss," said Potomac manager Cruz Mares. "This one will sting for a while."
At 62-52, the Hillcats are currently second in the Northern Division.
