Blue Rocks Beat Hillcats, 10-4

The Wilmington Blue Rocks faced a tough opponent in Lynchburg pitcher Mike Solis, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ed Smith Stadium by a final score of 10-4. Solis went 6.2 innings and allowed no runs. The third-place Blue Rocks are now 59-59, the Hillcats 66-52.
Wilmington used the hitting of Aaron Foehl to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Blue Rocks on top, 6-0. For the game, Foehl had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Wilmington manager Bobby Clontz commended his team for "putting the pedal to the metal."
