Gallegos Excels, Winston-Salem Blows Out Carolina
The Winston-Salem Dash buried the Carolina Mudcats, 13-2, under a barrage of hits. Ramon Gallegos led the onslaught, going 3-for-4 for Winston-Salem. The winning pitcher was Edwin Rivas. His record is now 9-5. The right-hander went 7.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits for the Dash. The win elevated the Dash to 77-41.

In the top of the first, John Blevins delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 3rd, the Winston-Salem left fielder hit a 2-run home run, putting the Dash in front, 13-2.
