Blue Rocks Claim Late Win
The Wilmington Blue Rocks got a strong performance from pitcher Jason Oakes, who stymied the Myrtle Beach offense en route to a win, 4-2, at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. Oakes got the win, improving to 12-7. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Picking up the save was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Katsumi Nagamine.

Wilmington took a 3-2 lead on Matt Myers's 11th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Myers hit in the top of the eighth, left Myrtle Beach pitcher Ryan LaBrasca visibly frustrated.
