Nationals Pull Off Thrilling 6-5 Win in Extras
|
The Potomac Nationals electrified the crowd with a walk-off win.
Potomac Nationals starter Kaoussen Kayode pitched a strong game against the Frederick Keys at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium, leading the Nationals to victory, 6-5. Potomac is now 55-65.
The Nationals procured the win, in large part because of pinch hitter Harry Porter. In the bottom of the 12th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"This game will make a man of you," said Austin Czerwiec, the Potomac skipper, "if it doesn't kill you first."
