Pelicans Snatch Late Win
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans picked up a win at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark, knocking off the Carolina Mudcats, 5-4. Starting pitcher Joe Edwards played a key role in the triumph. Myrtle Beach reliever Jonathan Guzzetta was the winner. His record is now 4-3. The losing pitcher was Keith Santa Ana. With the win, the Pelicans improved to 61-60.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Myrtle Beach trailing 4-3, Ryan Ogle jumped on a 1-0 fastball from Keith Santa Ana for a 2-run home run, sending the Pelicans to a walk-off win.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Edwards said.
