Frederick designated hitter Takeshi Nakanishi had a good game, even if his team did not. The Keys dropped a 6-3 decision to Wilmington at Harry Grove Stadium. Nakanishi went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. By defeating Frederick, the second-place Blue Rocks improved to 61-62.

The Blue Rocks got a big at-bat from first baseman Dave Jacoba. For the game, Jacoba was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Wilmington a 3-1 lead.
