Frederick beat Wilmington in a rain-soaked ballgame.

Frederick picked up a win at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium, toppling the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 4-2. Pitcher Sal Pena was one of the reasons the Keys triumphed. Pena, the winner, moves to 6-7. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 3 walks. Adrian Torrez was credited with the save, his 20th in 26 tries.

It could have been a different outcome for Frederick, had it not been for Steve Giltner, the 22-year old shortstop . Giltner contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Frederick up, 4-2.

"Feels good to get the job done," Pena said after the game.

The Keys raised their record to 54-69.
