Though the conditions were not ideal, the Lynchburg Hillcats and Winston-Salem Dash came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The Lynchburg Hillcats put together a convincing win at BB&T Ballpark, defeating the Winston-Salem Dash, 11-1. Brett Evans was one of the hitting stars. He went 2-2 with 2 home runs and 3 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for Lynchburg. Billie Barrett earned the win for Lynchburg. He lasted 7.1 innings, allowing no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 11. With the win, he raised his record to 11-2.

Stuart Wyffels, the 25-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Wyffels contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put Lynchburg up, 3-0.

"It was full throttle on our side," said Evans.

The Hillcats move to 97-28 with the win, while the Dash drop to 82-42.
