Myrtle Beach Pelicans starter Tilmão Vicente pitched a strong game against the Salem Red Sox at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark, leading the Pelicans to victory, 5-4. Sergio Gaona converted his 12th save in 19 tries. The Pelicans, at 85-42, have a comfortable 27½-game lead in their division.

Myrtle Beach got a big at-bat from Rosaryville, Maryland native Skyler McGuire, who in the bottom of the second hit a run-scoring triple. It was his 11th triple of the season and put the Pelicans ahead, 5-0.

"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said McGuire.
