The Wilmington Blue Rocks got a strong performance from pitcher Sieb Bakker, who stymied the Salem offense en route to a win, 6-2, at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium. Bakker got the win, improving to 4-6. He gave up 1 hit and walked 5 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. Wilmington is now 62-65, Salem 61-66.

Wilmington used a well-timed hit by Antonio Alaniz to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Blue Rocks ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
