Burgos Leads Lynchburg Past Wilmington
|
Starting pitcher Ramon Burgos was a major factor in the 3-1 Lynchburg Hillcats triumph over the Wilmington Blue Rocks. Greg Hernandez collected save number 2. At 101-28, the Hillcats claim first place in the Northern Division.
Though he didn't earn the victory, Burgos kept his team in the game until the bullpen took over and the Lynchburg offense came through. Over 7 innings, he allowed 2 hits and 1 run, while striking out 11.
"We're on a roll," said Hillcats manager Josh Anthony.
