The Potomac Nationals earned a close win over the Frederick Keys, thanks in part to Manny Serrano. The Potomac right-hander, who is tied for 9th in the CAR in wins with 8, played a key role in the 3-1 victory. The Nationals saw their record improve to 61-68.

The Nationals got a big hit from right fielder Matt Wilson. Facing Frederick pitcher Tom Mitchell in the bottom of the fifth, Wilson pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 2nd home run of the season put the Nationals ahead, 3-0.

"Manny was dictating to their hitters," said Potomac manager Cruz Mares.
