Salem center fielder Jeff Garrison contributed to his team's 7-3 win over the Potomac Nationals. Garrison, who is tied for 10th in the CAR in stolen bases with 12, went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Red Sox. Josh Landry got credit for the save for Salem. It was his 6th of the year. Salem, at 37-92, sits in last place in the Southern Division.

Matt Charles, who is tied for 8th in the CAR with a .360 on-base percentage, aided the Salem cause with a 2-run double in the top of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4 with a double and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
