Brian Graham did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to spare the Lynchburg Hillcats an extra-inning, 9-6 loss to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans at Ed Smith Stadium. Graham went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. At 70-59, Myrtle Beach is in second place in the Southern Division.

Myrtle Beach used the timely hitting of Sean Maestas to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Pelicans on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Maestas told the Myrtle Beach Gazette.
