Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and Carolina Mudcats.
Chris Britton knocked in 4 runs to help Myrtle Beach beat Carolina, 7-4. Britton produced 1 single and 1 home run. Eloy Domingues got the win, improving to 5-14. He held the Mudcats to 4 runs on 4 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 8.
Myrtle Beach used a timely hit from Elias Jasso to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Pelicans ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
Britton said afterward that he was glad to contribute to the win.
