The Potomac Nationals got a stellar effort from pitcher Kaoussen Kayode, helping Potomac score a win over the visiting Salem Red Sox, 8-0. With the win over Salem, the Nationals improved to 57-73.
Kurt LaBove made an early impact for Potomac when he stroked his 10th double of the season. The 2-run double, which came with two out in the bottom of the second, put the Nationals on top, 3-0.
"Enjoyed this one," LaBove told the Potomac Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
