Myrtle Beach Wins, Hensley Jr. hits 2 home runs
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans trumped the Potomac Nationals, 8-5, at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. Myrtle Beach third baseman Jim Hensley Jr. was terrific. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 7 RBI and scoring twice. Pedro Velona, the winner, improved to 8-6. He held Potomac to no runs on 3 hits over 5.1 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. The save went to Jim Unknown, number 1 for him.

Myrtle Beach took a 8-3 lead on Hensley Jr.'s 10th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Juan Burgos in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Myrtle Beach to the win.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Myrtle Beach manager Paul Austin.

Myrtle Beach occupies second place in the Southern Division at 67-65.
