Potomac pitcher Pat Taylor had a large part in his team beating the Carolina Mudcats, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The win makes Potomac 61-74.

Potomac used the hitting of Jose Santana to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Nationals on top, 2-0. For the game, Santana had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
