The Myrtle Beach Pelicans defeated the Salem Red Sox, 6-1, at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium. Seth Hood, who is tied for 4th in the CAR in RBI with 54, was a standout performer for Myrtle Beach. His 4 hits included 2 singles and 2 doubles -- this in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 1 he knocked in. Sergio Gaona earned the save for Myrtle Beach, his 14th.
