Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Blue Rocks
Wilmington first baseman Melvin Rios was a significant contributor in his team's 7-4 triumph over the Carolina Mudcats. He was 1 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Blue Rocks. Mike Sanchez picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-4. Antonio Telles suffered the loss. Wilmington now owns a record of 67-70.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Wilmington trailing 4-3, Rios jumped on a sinker from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Antonio Telles and hit a grand slam home run to left. With one swing, the Blue Rocks had a walk-off win.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Rios said in his postgame press conference.
