Hillcats Rally to Eke Out Win
Lynchburg Hillcats starter Alex Gomez was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Frederick Keys, 3-2, in 11 innings. Ben Adame snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-1 on the season. Juan Rangel suffered the loss. With the win, the Hillcats have a record of 84-53.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Lynchburg center fielder Phil Sproston, facing Juan Rangel, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Hillcats the 3-2 win.

"Alex is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Lynchburg manager Diego Perez.
