The Lynchburg Hillcats picked up a win at Ed Smith Stadium, knocking off the Winston-Salem Dash, 7-1. Starting pitcher Billy de Soto was a big reason why. With the win, Lynchburg raised its record to 72-65.

Agustin de la Cruz went 1 for 3 with a walk against the Dash. With the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Lynchburg in front, 2-1.

"Billy is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Lynchburg manager Diego Perez.
