Despite the rain, the fans at Ed Smith Stadium enjoyed a good ballgame.

The Lynchburg Hillcats beat the Frederick Keys, 1-0. Lynchburg pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Carlos Hernandez led the way. Hernandez picked up the win for Lynchburg, going 8 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 10-3. Mark Melikishvili earned the save, his 2nd, for the Hillcats.
