Santiago Tosses Shutout Against Binghamton
|
Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Binghamton Mets as starter Mario Santiago shut them out, 3-0, at NYSEG Stadium. The Altoona pitcher struck out 5 and walked 2 while allowing 2 hits.
"Santiago was good but he wasn't flawless," Binghamton manager Terrell Hagans said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Altoona, but this is on us."
