3-2 Win for Lakeland Over Bradenton
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Lakeland Flying Tigers and the Bradenton Marauders, pitcher Rich Marshall was the difference between victory and defeat. The Lakeland right-hander earned kudos in the 3-2 Flying Tigers win. With the win, Lakeland lifts its record to 3-3.
Lakeland used a clutch at-bat from Josh Vaughn to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Flying Tigers ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Marshall.
