Blue Jays Dismiss Flying Tigers, 4-2
|
The Dunedin Blue Jays took Lakeland pitcher Pat Blair's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Joker Marchant Stadium. The final score had Dunedin getting past the Flying Tigers, 4-2. Blair went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 5. Tom Buckley locked down his 3rd save. Lakeland, with the loss, is 7-9.
Pedro Higuera came through with a big-time hit for Dunedin. The shortstop smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"You need to show up when your number's called," said Higuera.
