Stone Crabs Get Hard-Earned Win, Stop Mets, 3-2
Charlotte and St. Lucie duked it out and the Stone Crabs came out victorious.

The Charlotte Stone Crabs earned a close win over the St. Lucie Mets, thanks in part to Victor Bedolla. The Charlotte right-hander, who is tied for 7th in the FSL in strikeouts with 30, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Bobby Arias recorded the save, his 2nd.

Charlotte took a 3-2 lead on Rich Gandara's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Gandara hit in the bottom of the eighth, left St. Lucie pitcher Isaiah Jordan visibly frustrated.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Gandara said after the game.

The Stone Crabs, now 5-17, have not found much traction so far in 2107.
