Grimm goes 4-for-5 to Light Stone Crabs Fuse
Behind the hitting of Mike Grimm, the Charlotte Stone Crabs stopped the Lakeland Flying Tigers, 11-4. Grimm was 4-5 with a triple, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 for the Stone Crabs. Jimmy Thompson went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits. The right-hander struck out 3 and walked 2. With the win, he's now 1-0 this season. Ivan Bueno closed it out for Charlotte, earning his 1st save.

With Charlotte leading 4-3 in the top of the sixth, Grimm hit a fastball from Ricardo Batista for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Stone Crabs ahead, 7-3.

"We're trying to go out there and win games," Grimm told the Charlotte Daily News, "and we played pretty well tonight."

The setback makes the Flying Tigers 8-14.
