Down Goes Fort Myers, 5-2, to St. Lucie

Kazushi Yamaguchi was a major factor in the 5-2 St. Lucie win over Fort Myers. The Mets right fielder was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Anthon Dieteren earned the win to go to 3-2. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 4 walks and 5 strikeouts in 7.1 innings of work. Bill Comrie notched his 2nd save of the season.
Yamaguchi had a timely hit for St. Lucie in the top of the seventh. With St. Lucie trailing 2-1, he turned a first pitch cutter into a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 5-2, St. Lucie.
"No time for flexing," said Yamaguchi. "It's always one game at a time."
The loss has the Miracle at 14-10.
