The Bradenton Marauders faced a tough opponent in Clearwater pitcher Jinrou Higashi, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Bright House Field by a final score of 3-2. Higashi went 9 innings and allowed 3 runs. Alex Garcia picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-3. He struck out 5 in 6 innings. The Threshers, now 16-9, have been consistent this season. Consistently bad.

Sukeichi Yamada provided a timely hit. The Bradenton designated hitter delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Marauders on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Yamada told the Bradenton Today.
