Stone Crabs Win with Late Heroics
The Charlotte Stone Crabs knocked off the Brevard County Manatees, 9-8, at Charlotte Sports Park. It took 11 innings. Omar Navarro was a prime reason Charlotte won. The center fielder hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Charlotte reliever Brent Watson was credited with the win. His record goes to 7-0. Efrain Vazquez took the loss for Brevard County. With the win, Charlotte improves its record to 16-11.

The Stone Crabs got a clutch hit from second baseman Pat Eteldrum. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Stone Crabs.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Charlotte skipper Victor Beltran.
