Victory Over Tortugas Takes Dunedin to 20-8
The Dunedin Blue Jays defeated the Daytona Tortugas, 9-4, in Florida State League action at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. Dunedin pitcher Alex Lopez had a standout performance. The winning pitcher was Lopez, now 1-0. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 8. The hot start continues for the defending champion Blue Jays. This was their 20th win in 28 games.

Ramon Quinones had a big 2-run triple for the Blue Jays in the bottom of the first inning. With Dunedin leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a sinker from John DuPerry, who is tied for 5th in the FSL with a 9.8 K/9 rate, and swatted a triple to center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blue Jays ahead, 3-0.

"It's a mindset," said Lopez. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
