The St. Lucie Mets picked up a win at Calvin Falwell Field, knocking off the Bradenton Marauders, 4-3, in 10 innings. On the mound for St. Lucie was right-hander Curt Cooper. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. For Bradenton, now 5-23, the season is off to a dismal start.

Though he did not get the decision, Cooper did all he could to keep his team close, twirling a shutout through 8 innings, until St. Lucie eventually rallied past the Marauders.

"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Cooper.
