In a well-pitched game between the Fort Myers Miracle and the St. Lucie Mets, pitcher Jerry Bell was fantastic. The Fort Myers right-hander helped his team secure the win, 2-1. Bell picked up the win for Fort Myers, going 5 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 3-2. Corey Slater, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 7th save.

Matthew Robertson drove in one run for Fort Myers. The 24-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Stanley Johnson. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

"I thought Jerry threw the ball well across the board," said Fort Myers manager Cory Sotelo.

The hot start continues for the defending champion Miracle. This was their 19th win in 28 games.
