Lozano, Manatees Beat Yankees, 11-4
|
The Brevard County Manatees downed the Tampa Yankees, 11-4, at Space Coast Stadium. The Manatees were led by Francisco Lozano. Lozano went 3 for 5 with 2 triples, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. The winning pitcher was Israel Sanchez. His record now stands at 2-0. The right-hander went 7.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits for the Manatees. Brevard County is now 19-10, 4 games up in the FSL North.
With Brevard County leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Lozano hit a sinker from Adam Redel for a 2-run triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Manatees ahead, 3-0.
