Flying Tigers Stymie Clearwater, Take 3-1 Win
The Lakeland Flying Tigers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Ricardo Batista, who kept Clearwater hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Flying Tigers win at Joker Marchant Stadium. The Flying Tigers are now 14-20, while the Threshers fall to 20-14.

Mike O'Neal had a big solo home run for the Flying Tigers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Lakeland leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a sinker from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Guillermo Carreon and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Flying Tigers on top, 2-0.

"Ricardo's as tough as he is talented," said Lakeland manager Meka Fabiano.
