Miracle Rally to Eke Out Win
The Miracle earned a hard-fought, 6-5 win in 10 innings at Hammond Stadium. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Charlotte pitcher Jay Paglia. Paglia went 7.1 innings and allowed 4 runs. Fort Myers reliever Pablo Herrera was credited with the win. His record goes to 4-1. Kevin Albert took the loss for Charlotte. The Miracle are now 28-8, while the Stone Crabs fall to 20-16.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 26-year old left fielder Luke Bergsma had a chance to be the hero. Charlotte pitcher Kevin Albert wanted to foil that plan. But with no outs, Bergsma got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run. The Miracle had themselves a thrilling win.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Bergsma said.
