Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Blue Jays
The timely hitting of Keith Pierce helped the Dunedin Blue Jays take down the Lakeland Flying Tigers, 12-8, in 11 innings. Pierce went 3-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Blue Jays. Dunedin reliever Nathan Reynolds was credited with the win. His record goes to 1-0. Bonifacio Guita took the loss for Lakeland. The Blue Jays, at 17-24, sit in 5th place in the FSL North.

Dunedin got a knockout punch from Ricardo Lopez. The catcher hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"What a buzz," said Lopez after it was over.
