Cardinals Bats Go Cold Against Miracle
|
Fort Myers pitcher Curt McMahon did his part in helping his team defeat the Palm Beach Cardinals, 4-0. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The win puts Fort Myers at 26-16 this season.
McMahon, who dominated for Fort Myers, earned the victory to move to 6-2. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 6. Palm Beach batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"Our offense was purring," said Fort Myers manager Bashir Mothudi. "Like a well-oiled machine."
