The Dunedin Blue Jays defeated the Palm Beach Cardinals, 6-1, in Florida State League action at Roger Dean Stadium. Dunedin pitcher Tony Negron had a standout performance. The winning pitcher was Negron, now 2-2. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. The first-place Blue Jays have won 5 in a row.
Jody Holman, the 23-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Holman contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Dunedin up, 2-0.
