In a low-scoring contest between the Clearwater Threshers and the Dunedin Blue Jays, Larry Northcutt, who is tied for 5th in the FSL in saves with 7, proved to be the difference. The Clearwater left-hander earned props for his performance in the 1-0 Threshers win. The third-place Threshers now have a record of 25-19.

The Threshers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Luis Maldonado. For the game, Maldonado went 1 for 3 with a double. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Clearwater a 1-0 lead.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Northcutt.
