The Daytona Tortugas defeated the Clearwater Threshers, 10-1, in Florida State League action at Bright House Field. Daytona pitcher Michael Hogan had a standout performance. Hogan went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-1. The losses continue to mount for Clearwater, which has now dropped 13 in a row.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for David Clinkscale? The Daytona third baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Tortugas on top, 5-0. For the game, Clinkscale had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
