Manatees Win Pitchers' Duel, 2-1, Versus Threshers
|
The Brevard County Manatees got a magnificent performance from pitcher Andy McDougall, who muffled the Clearwater offense en route to a tight, 2-1 Manatees win at Space Coast Stadium. Brevard County is now 28-18, while Clearwater is 26-20.
Rodolfo Rosas drove in one run for Brevard County. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Rosas had a clutch at-bat. Facing Clearwater hurler Josh Russell, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Manatees a 2-1 lead.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Brevard County manager Rick Mitchell.
