Goodloe Leads St. Lucie Past Lakeland
|
The St. Lucie Mets topped the Lakeland Flying Tigers, 4-0, in Florida State League action at Joker Marchant Stadium. The standout performance belonged to St. Lucie pitcher and Oak Lawn, Illinois, native Josh Goodloe. The Mets raised their record to 34-11.
Lakeland had little success against Goodloe and his changeup. Goodloe tossed 120 pitches over 7.2 innings for the Mets.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Goodloe, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
