The St. Lucie Mets rode a solid performance from 24-year-old starting pitcher Eric Hudson to a win, beating the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 4-2, at Tradition Field. With the win, the Mets improved to 29-21.

Hudson was effective against the Stone Crabs, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited Charlotte to just 1 run on 3 hits over 8 innings.

"I went after the hitters," said Hudson. "No pussyfooting around."
