The St. Lucie Mets got a sterling performance from pitcher Nick Noel, but the Fort Myers Miracle still prevailed, 2-0. Noel threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. The second-place Miracle are now 32-18, the Mets 22-28.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Johnny Bedlecom? The 24-year old center fielder Bedlecom stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put Fort Myers up, 2-0. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"Watch and learn," said Bedlecom. "This is what good pitching looks like."
