Blue Jays Beat Threshers, 2-0
|
The Dunedin Blue Jays got a magnificent performance from pitcher Nick Bondi, who stifled the Clearwater offense en route to a 2-0 Blue Jays win at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. Bondi got the win, improving to 8-0. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 5 innings. Bondi allowed no runs. Troy Anderson picked up the save for Dunedin, his 9th of the year.
Bill Curtis, who is tied for 4th in the FSL in RBI with 33, chipped in for Dunedin with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"Nick did a tremendous job," said Dunedin manager Bob Butler.
Dunedin, at 41-13, is cruising.
