Mets Lose at Home, 4-0, to Fort Myers
|
Fort Myers pitcher Alex Mora had a large part in his team beating the St. Lucie Mets, 4-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Mora got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 2 hits and walked 3 over 6.2 innings. He allowed no runs. Steve Buck locked down his 1st save.
Angelo Lopez had a direct impact on the outcome. Lopez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Fort Myers up, 2-0.
"The guys are feeling pretty good about where they're at right now," said Miracle manager Chris Stanley. "We have a lot of guys playing with confidence."
The third-place Miracle lifted their record to 36-19.
