Streaking Blue Jays Win Another One, 3-2
|
Starting pitcher Glen Trecker gave the Dunedin Blue Jays a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Daytona Tortugas, 3-2, at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. Trecker, now 5-6, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Dunedin has now reeled off 9 straight wins.
Jared Kuna, who is tied for 7th in the FSL in runs scored with 29, had a direct impact on the outcome. Kuna contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Dunedin up, 3-2.
"Every loss hurts," said Daytona manager Bob Rogers. "But this was a tough one."
