The rain came, as predicted, but the Daytona Tortugas and Fort Myers Miracle were able to complete their ballgame.

The Daytona Tortugas picked up a win at Hammond Stadium, topping the Fort Myers Miracle, 4-1. On the mound for Daytona was right-hander Juan Ordaz. He played a principal role in the triumph. The Tortugas now own a record of 27-30.

Daytona used a clutch at-bat from Tim Allyn to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Tortugas ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Juan is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Daytona manager Bob Rogers.
